Eastside Veterinary Clinic

Opened in 2000, Eastside Veterinary Clinic is a full service Veterinary facility, caring for animals of the Greater Providence, Rhode Island Area. We are staffed with four highly experienced Veterinarians and many compassionate, skilled Veterinary Technicians. In addition to providing services to the public, we partner with local shelters to promote adoption and affordable spay/neuter programs. We are able to provide both routine and specialty services.   • Dr. Peter Cournoyer, Owner

    Dr. Cournoyer graduated from  Boston College in 1984 and Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine  in 1989. He opened the practice in 1993 and especially enjoys primary care and surgery. He is married with three children and enjoys the family pets; two dogs, two cats, a horse and a hermit crab.

  • Dr. Megan Mahar Breiding

    Dr. Breiding graduated from Bowdoin College in 1994 and from Tuft's University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She joined the Eastside Veterinary Clinic in 2003 where she enjoys all aspects of medicine and surgery of dogs and cats. She also loves Providence where she lives with her husband, their two young girls and their dog LuLu.

  • Dr. Oni Springer

    Hello there! I am a graduate from University of Georgia. I subsequently finished an Emergency and Crital Care based Internship at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists and fell in love with Rhode Island. I enjoy Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Oncology. In my free time, I enjoy sailboat racing, S.E.C football (Go Dawgs!), painting, and hanging out with my new baby.  Along with the baby, I spend time with my husband, my Bullmastiff "Pavlov", and my two cats named "Enanita Bonita" and "Bette Spaghetti". I look forward to meeting both you and your pet!

  • Dr. Jessica Murphy

    Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Jessica Glatzer-Murphy (Dr. Murphy) received an undergraduate degree in environmental studies from the University of Vermont, and a master's degree in environmental science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  She then worked for several years in non-profit animal and environmental protection organizations before deciding that veterinary medicine was her true calling. Dr. Murphy obtained her DVM from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.  Prior to joining the staff at Eastside, Dr. Murphy worked as a general practitioner in Rhode Island since 2007.

    Professionally, Dr. Murphy enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with a special interest in preventative care, internal medicine and pain management.  When not working, Dr. Murphy loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, exercising, and enjoying the great restaurants in Providence.  Dr. Murphy currently lives in Providence with her husband, two children, Lucas and Julia, and her rescue dog, Rosie.

  • Jamie Sprengel

    Office Manager

    Jamie is originally from New Jersey, but after graduating from URI with a degree in Pre-Vet Medicine she has been living in RI. She lives with her Corgi named  "Chubbs" and several cats. She enjoys working here and looks forward to seeing you and your four-legged pets!

    Veterinary Assistant

    Kathy lives in Rehoboth with her husband, Shelties and Kitties. She has worked in the Veterinary field since 1982 and enjoys the many clients and their furry "Kids".

    Veterinary Assistant

    Nicole graduated from URI in 2010 with a degree in Animal Science/Pre-Vet. She has been working here for four years. Her interests include Surgery and Emergency Medicine. She lives in Providence with her four-legged "son" named Sarge.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Deb moved from Utah to RI in 1991 to pursue her degree in Equine studies. After working in the large animal world for several years, she decided to switch to small animals. She is owned by two Corgis, four cats, a rabbit and a horse. Her interests include Dressage, Agility, Geriatric and Emergency medicine.


     

  • Kim Narciso

    Kim, from Providence recently graduated from New England Institute of Technology with a degree in Veterinary Technology.  She started as an intern and worked her way up to a full time technician.  She lives with her German Shepard Mix, Brutus and her furry feline Bella.  Kim is pictured here with one of her favorite bulldogs Ruby Ricci.  She's excited to meet you and your four legged family members!

  • Karen Kaiser

    Karen grew up and still lives in Pawtucket.  She has worked in the veterinary field for the past 10 years and enjoys working with the pets and their owners.  She is hoping to find the perfect Maine Coon kitten to add to her family.  Until then she will be happy to take care of your pet!
